As a registered charity Brainwaves NI has been providing a range of support services for Children and Adults with Brain Tumours, their families and carers since 1994. We have built local, national and international alliances and work in partnership for the betterment of those affected by a brain tumour.
The services provided by Brainwaves NI are designed to help those affected by a brain tumour to understand what is happening, to ask the right questions and to make informed decisions. For patients and families seeking advice or to talk in confidence about concerns, we provide a Support Line.
We provide information and signposting to appropriate sources of information as well as practical guidance and help. We host Information Evenings with talks from local healthcare and rehabilitation teams on a range of topics relevant to your care, needs, and treatment therapies.
We host a number of events which are a great way to meet others, in a relaxed environment; these include Regional Support Groups, Family Fun Days and Family Weekend Breaks. With the support of the local community, we fund research nationally and also locally at CCRCB at Queen’s University Belfast.
